I love finding inspiration and craft supplies at my local dollar store. They always have fun things for Halloween, and every year, I stock up on these little plastic eyeballs in multiple colors. They are great for crafts like the crochet Eyeball Rose, and they are also awesome to just float in a punch bowl or hide around the house. They also work up VERY fast, so they are a great stash buster or to add to a Fall craft fair!

I also used them to make this awesome wreath for my front door. The majority of it is pom poms glued onto a dollar store foam wreath. But I added a few Eyeball Roses and a few plastic spiders to make it really pop!

I have hair clips on the backs of mine so I can wear them around or clip then to things as needed, but you can do just about anything with your Eyeball Roses! Be creative!

I’d love to hear your ideas and see your finished roses in the Hookers and Crafters Facebook Group or in the comments.

Pattern Notes

There are two places where you will skip working in a

V-st with the petals. This is to make sure the petals stagger around and don’t line up exactly.

Bind off leaving long tail for sewing.

Wrap the hdc end around your eyeball. You can glue it here or wrap it a bit more to get it in the right place first.

Wrap the larger petals in a circle around the eyeball until they line up the way you like. Keep in mind you want them to stagger, not fall directly on top of each other. Use the tail to sew the petals into place.

  1. Haven’t made it yet because I’m making a list of seasonal decor. I just love the look and can’t wait for the time before Halloween to make this.

    1. Have made a dozen eyeball roses for my 11 year old grandson. He loves the eyeballs being used this way as every year we use them in a jello brain mold to creep family iut. Thanks!!
