Halloween Treasure Hunt!

It’s spooky time!

I just LOVE this time of year, don’t you?

Whether you are a flannel and Pumpkin Spice Latte kind of person, or you’re filling your hard with ghoulish crochet Halloween decorations (or both), Autumn is a fun time of year. Personally, I start decorating for Halloween indoors at the beginning of September, meaning my house is already looking a bit scary.

And this year, I decided that the Treasure Hunt for Fall should be something creepy but cute.

Creepy? How about a skeleton amigurumi!

Cute? A guinea pig of course!

So, in honor of this wonderful season, I’ve modified the Guineacorn pattern into Skelly Pig! (Short for Skeleton Guinea Pig, of course.)

You can get this adorable spooky amigurumi pattern, as a Premium Pattern PDF, for FREE for participating in this month’s Treasure Hunt.

I know, “Oh no! Not participation!” but it’s a solo mission (no raid group required), so hopefully that will be more appealing. 🙂

The game is super easy and really fun! I promise!

You will be building a skeleton puppy. 🙂

The Skeleton Puppy Looks Like This:

However, he will be scattered in pieces (a hazard of having no skin). The pieces will look something like this:

How It Works

  1. Around the blog, there are hidden five (5) Pieces of this adorable puppy’s skeleton. You will be looking for his skull, neck, ribs, legs, and tail. They could be anywhere on the blog!
  2. Use the clue below to find Piece #1.
  3. Click on the skeleton piece and it will send you to a page with the clue to find Piece #2.
  4. Continue in this manner until you have found all five (5) sets of bones and put Skeleton Puppy back together!
  5. When you find Piece #5, it will take you to a page to input your email address so you can get your PDF pattern sent directly to you.

The First Clue

In the gaze of a dragon, where slumber lies,

Beneath its watch, the first bone resides.

FAQ

  1. Purchase the Premium Pattern 2.0 from Etsy or Ravelry. You will find it in the shop after October 1st.
  2. Wait until the modifications for the pattern to go live on the blog in free, text-only format. This will be some time in November.

This pattern comes with LOTS of new parts not included in the original Guineacorn pattern. The only things that are the same will be the Inner Body (the black shadow under the bones), Front Feet, Hind Feet, and Ears. The Ribs, Spine, and all other bones, plus his adorable new skull, are all BRAND NEW to this modification!

Come at it from several angles! If the next clue isn’t giving you enough hints, you can even go as far as to systematically work through the blog and search. It’s up to you!

But please don’t ask in the Facebook Group or share the answers, but I am often willing to give additional hints if you ask nicely. 🙂 This is supposed to be a game.

  1. The treasure hunt is not working. I got a hint and I went to that pattern but there was no skeleton piece. I did a treasure hunt before. I do not know what is happening

  2. is it just on the blog or anywhere on the site? Because on the blog all the pics except 3 skelly pig pics and the 2 puppy pics.

  3. I am on my phone because I don’t have a computer. I can’t seem to find any of them. My question is can you find them using your phone or do you have to use a computer to do it?

    1. Can someone give me additional clues for the second bone? I have no idea where it can be. I’ve looked through a lot of patterns already, and I’m out of ideas.

  4. I haven’t participated in one of these and I have no idea where to look. I just spent a half hour searching through patterns and I still haven’t found anything. I have to get back to looking after my husband as he had surgery and isn’t well. I only had a short time to search. Oh well.
