How to Crochet Branching | Video Tutorial

Have you ever wished that you could make all of those no sew amigurumi crochet patterns, but don’t know where to begin? It’s your lucky day, because today I am going to teach you how to make them with the crochet branching technique!

I use this technique a lot in my patterns. For example, my Vincent, Charlie, and Toby patterns all use this for their claws. It’s also the primary technique for the tripod seated animals Babineaux and Anduin that I’ve designed.

This crochet tutorial uses US crochet terms. You will need to know basic amigurumi techniques to make this.

If you aren’t a fan of sewing, then branching is just the technique you need to add to your amigurumi repertoire!

By using the branching technique, you can crochet off of the main piece of your amigurumi, and add all of the parts for it with just your yarn and hook. No extra sewing needed!
