Construction
I’ve very proud of this NO SEW crochet pattern!
Wait…how? How is something with this type of parts a no-sew pattern?
Easy! Each piece is attached to the body by working it straight onto the round as you go! The free pattern has all the instructions for this unique attachment method, but the Premium Pattern 2.0 has even more pictures and will be very helpful with the construction.

Morris the Moose | Free Crochet Pattern
Pattern is written in English, in US terms, using Craft Yarn Council abbreviations.
You Need to Know
Chains (ch), slip stitch (sl st), single crochet (sc), half double crochet (hdc), double crochet (dc), increases and decreases. Be eager to learn and ready to have fun!

Supplies
- Big Twist Value yarn, 100% acrylic, worsted weight, 380 yds/6 oz/170 g, Chocolate (CHOC), < 1 ball; Camel (CAML), , 1 ball; Black (BLK), < 1 ball.
- F (3.75 mm) hook
- Two 12mm solid black safety eyes
- Polyfil stuffing
- Tapestry needle
- Stitch markers
Measurements
6” tall x 6” in diameter
Gauge
9 sts x 9 rows in sc = 2” x 2”
Pattern Notes
- Work in continuous rounds. Do not slip stitch unless otherwise specified by the pattern.
- For best results, assemble parts in order as directed.
- Weave in attachment ends at very end of project in case pieces require repositioning.
Special Stitches
- Bobble-st – Bobble stitch: [Yo, insert hook into st, yo, pull up a loop, yo, pull through 2 loops on hook] 5 times in same st, yo, pull through all 6 loops on hook.

(Make 2)
With CHOC, ch 2.
Row 1: 3 sc in second ch from hook, turn. (3)
Row 2: Ch 1, inc, sc, inc, turn. (5)
Row 3: Ch 1, 5 sc, turn. (5)
Row 4: Ch 1, 2 sc, inc, 2 sc, turn. (6)
Rows 5-6: Ch 1, 6 sc, turn.
Fold last rnd in half.
Row 7: Ch 1, working through both layers of last rnd, 3 sc. (3)
Bind off and weave in ends.
Set aside.
Antlers
(Make 2)
Work holding two strands together.
With CAML, ch 2.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in second ch from hook. (6)
Rnd 2: Inc in each st around. (12)
Rnd 3: [sc, inc] 6 times. (18)
Rnd 4: 3 sc, ch 4, (sc in second ch from hook, hdc, dc) down ch, sc in same st as ch, [2 sc, ch 5, (sc in second ch from hook, sc, hdc, dc) down ch, sc in same st as ch] 4 times, 2 sc, ch 4, (sc in second ch from hook, hdc, dc) down ch, sc in same st as ch, 5 sc. Sl st to round edge. (24 sc, 6 horns)
Bind off and weave in ends.
Mark the last three sts on each antler.
Legs
(Make 4)
With BLK, ch 2.
Rnd 1: 8 sc in second ch from hook. (8)
Rnd 2: Inc in each st around. (16)
Rnd 3: In BLO, sc evenly around. (16)
Rnd 4: In both loops, sc evenly around.
Rnd 5: Change to CHOC, [2 sc, dec] 4 times. (12)
Rnd 6: Sc evenly around.
Rnd 7: [Sc, dec] 4 times. (8)
Rnd 8: Sc evenly around.
Bind off and weave in ends.
Stuff hoof.
Press last rnd flat.
Set aside.
Snout
With CHOC, ch 7.
Row 1: Bobble-st in second ch from hook, 4 sc, bobble-st, turn. (6)
Rnd 2: Ch 1, inc, 4 sc, inc, do not turn, rotate and work in underside of starting ch, inc, 4 sc, inc. (16)
Rnd 3: Sc, inc, 4 sc, inc, 2 sc, inc, 4 sc, inc, sc. (20)
Rnds 4-7: Sc evenly around.
Bind off and weave in ends.
Using stitch markers, mark 1st three sts of Rnd 7, skip 7, mark next 3 sts. Markers should be on either short end of the snout.
Set aside.
Tail
With CHOC, ch 2.
Row 1: 3 sc in second ch from hook, turn. (3)
Row 2: Ch 1, 3 sc, turn. (3)
Rows 3-4: Repeat Row 2.
