Rainbow Pride Peacock | Free Crochet Pattern

Thank you for sticking around and reading my patterns right here on the blog, without copy/pasting. When you stay here to follow patterns, I am compensated for my time and energy. I’m excited to share this free pattern for a Rainbow Pride Peacock amigurumi. This vibrant crochet project lets you celebrate the LGBTQ+ community with a colorful, eye-catching piece. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced crocheter, this pattern offers easy-to-follow instructions for creating a beautiful peacock with rainbow feathers. Perfect as a unique decoration or a thoughtful gift, this amigurumi project is a wonderful way to showcase pride and diversity.

For Pride Month, 2024, the Pride Peacock was the prize at the end of the Rainbow Peacock Treasure Hunt. There is a new Treasure Hunt (think, blog-wide scavenger hunt) every few months here at Hooked by Kati. They are fun way to get unique FREE pattern PDFs based on a variety of themes.

Check out the current treasure hunt!

Chatting about the upcoming Pride Parade one morning back in the Summer of 2024, my teenage son commented that my Regal the Peacock pattern would look really cool with rainbow feathers. Both of our eyes grew wide and we slowly smiled with the realization that rainbow feathers were not only possible, but a really darn good idea!

Construction

The Pride Peacock is a variation of Regal the Peacock. The only real difference is a major upgrade to the tail feathers, allowing them to be brushed out to create fluffy feathers and to reshaped them slightly for more accuracy to real peacock feathers.

If you already have the Regal the Peacock Premium Pattern 2.0, you may not need to purchase the Pride Peacock PDF pattern; however, if you don’t have either peacock pattern and wish to choose between the two, I would highly recommend the new Pride Peacock Premium Pattern 2.0. This would give you the upgraded tail feather shaping and you could easily change the colors for any peacock, including both Regal and the Pride Peacock.

You can get the Premium Pattern 2.0 on Ravelry or Etsy.
