Simply Crochet ‘Hook to Hook’ Challenge!
I am honored and excited to announce that I am one of two designers in Hook to Hook Challenge in Issue 76 of Simply Crochet Magazine, on newsstands tomorrow (September 27, 2018).
Go to Instagram and vote for your favorite pattern in the challenge for a chance to win the yarn used to make it! (UK only)
This pattern was a blast to create and it has a very special place in my heart.
This is the first pattern I have published outside the United States, and the first designer challenge in which I have participated.
From the moment I sketched this out, I knew I wanted to make something with a distinct web shape. I knew shaping it as much as I wanted would be difficult, and I was up for the challenge. It took much frogging and a great deal of coffee to get it just right. The end result, I feel, was a creepy-crawly success.
With this lovely King Cole yarn, you can make it to match any Halloween color scheme. As is, it is reversible. So you can flip it for a change of mood any time you want.
My “competition” is fierce! We are all in this crochet world together, so I don’t really have any competitors, but I have to say that Alessandra’s work is fantastic! I would be thrilled to have either (or both) of these cushions on my couch.
So please, go check out the challenge, vote, and then pick up your copy of Simply Crochet Magazine for both patterns!
Yarn on,
