Lovable Sloth Crochet Patterns | 8 Patterns
Sloths win our hearts with their sleepy smiles and laid-back lifestyle. You’ll generally find them hanging out (literally) in tropical rain forests in Central and South America. If you encounter a sloth at a zoo, you may wonder what it would be like to take one home. As it turns out, sloths make terrible pets for a variety of reasons. But crochet sloths are different story! Make your own sloth and bring home some of that dozy cuteness with one of these sloth crochet patterns.
I’ve collected these sloth crochet patterns with the permission of the designers and by using images they have authorized me to use. These patterns are all designed by REAL PEOPLE, no artificial intelligence involved, and will help you create the art that inspires you.

Dell the Baby Sloth
by Hooked by Kati
Did you realize there are six different species of sloth? Dell is of a two-toed variety, which are less famous but certainly no less cute. Unlike their three-toed cousins, they lack a face mask and have a longer, “boop-able” snout. This free intermediate level crochet sloth pattern uses the loop stitch to create his snuggly fur.

Amelia the Sloth
by Hooked by Kati
For a bigger challenge, make this large two-toed crochet sloth. According to Hooked by Kati lore, Amelia is actually Dell’s momma. You can even purchase their premium patterns together as a bundle. But as for Amelia herself, this free crochet pattern will give you practice in several advanced amigurumi techniques, the most obvious of which is her fur. Like her baby, Amelia’s fur is made using the loop stitch. But this time, you’ll brush it out to make it super fluffy!

Scrappy the Sloth
by Hooked by Kati
Do you have a bunch of random lengths of scrap yarn left over from other amigurumi projects? You can tie them all together in a “Frankenstein” ball and use that ball to make this colorful stash busting crochet sloth! Experiment with different styles of fur by leaving the loop stitches uncut, cutting them into strands, or brushing out the strands. This free pattern uses intermediate techniques.

Slocombe the Sloth
by Moji-Moji Design
Slocombe the Sloth features yet another option for creating fuzzy fur. His texture comes from eyelash yarn but the designer says that mohair also works well. Working with fuzzy yarns can be challenging, since it can be hard to see the stitches. But if you place a stitch marker in each stitch, you’ll always know where to put your hook! When worked with DK weight eyelash yarn and a size D (3.25mm) hook, the paid pattern will give you a 13 inch plush.

Hi Katie
I love your Nativity Crochet 12 Projects Holiday, Thank you for creating for all of us crochet lovers. However, I am finding it difficult to understand the manger and am hoping you will help me. My stitch count never matches yours. Thank you for any hints you are able to send to me.
Sincerely
Carolyn
Carolyn, I think you may have the wrong designer. I do not have a nativity project.
