Two-Color Spiral in DC | Video Tutorial
The two-color spiral in double crochet is a fun way to create a peppermint candy or a spooky spiral in a flat circle. It is more simple than it seems and can be mastered quickly. This version of the spiral is done in only double crochet.
Two-Color Spiral DC: Step By Step
- Ch 4 with first color, 5 dc into 4th chain from hook. (6 dc, including ch-3)
- Do not cut yarn. Drop yarn with a large loop and sl st with second color in same ch as first 6 dc. Ch 3, 5 dc in same sp. (6 dc, including ch-3)
- Without joining, 2 dc in top of ch-3, 2 dc in next 5 sts. Drop second color, pick up first color. 2 dc in top of ch-3, 2 dc in next 5 sts. (24 dc)
- Continue in this pattern, working 6 increase in each color for each round. Each round will increase in factors of 12.
