Two-Color Twisted Chain Border | Video Tutorial
A Twisted Chain border is one of my favorite finishing touches for blankets and home decor items. It is whimsical and full of flair.
Because it can be done in a classic red and white stripe, it is often called the “candy cane border.”
Two-Color Twisted Chain Border: Step By Step
- With 1st color, sl st in 1st st of edge, ch 5, drop yarn.
- With 2nd color, sl st in 2nd st of edge, ch 5, drop yarn.
- Pick up 1st color, move work in front of 2nd color, sc in next st, ch 5, drop yarn.
- Pick up 2nd color, move work in front of 1st color, sc in next st, ch 5, drop yarn. Repeat steps 3 and 4 to end of edge.
