Upcycling For A Fashion Boost
This time of year, as I’m cleaning out everything and KonMari-ing my whole house, I find out…well…
I hate all my clothes.
Upcycling to the rescue!
I have learned to love taking old clothes (or finding used ones at the thrift store) and then adding some crochet to make them new again! Upcycling crochet!! I love replacing parts of old clothes with new crochet panels. Mixed media projects are very popular now among pricey boutiques.
I have been experimenting with mixed media projects for a while, and this was the culmination of my most recent experiments. See also my Mixed Media Fleece Scarf crochet pattern.
I shared my latest few projects in I Like Crochet Magazine’s April 2019 Issue. The patterns and methods are a little difficult, but once you get the hang of it, you will be as hooked on upcycling as I am.

I hope you enjoy upcycling as much as I do! I plan on doing a lot more of it on the blog. It’s one of my favorite things to do with crochet. 🙂
