This is a PATTERN for crochet only, designed to help you make your very own Murdock the Kelpie!

This is the remodel of the original Murdock the Kelpie pattern, now with more shaping, texture, and now offered in the Premium Pattern 2.0 format.

All patterns are written in English, in US terms, using Craft Yarn Council abbreviations.

Murdock the Kelpie Premium Pattern 2.0 is designed to be easy to read. Whether you are a confident beginner or an expert plushy artist, this pattern comes equipped with everything you need to succeed. When you are finished with your project you will have learned new and useful skills for your art form and created a beautiful piece to cherish.

Updated Premium Patterns now include checkboxes to keep you on track and organized, color coding when needed, and helpful tutorial photos right where you need them (and none where you don’t).

You Need to Know
Chains (ch), slip stitch (sl st), single crochet (sc), back loops only (BLO), Right side (RS), Wrong side (WS), increases and decreases, mattress stitch sewing. Be eager to learn and ready to have fun!

How to use pins to perfectly place and attach amigurumi parts
How to crochet on the surface of a 3D object
How to shape amigurumi using short rounds
Create textured fins with short rows and BLO

Big Twist Value, worsted weight yarn, 100% acrylic, 380 yds/ 6 oz/ 347 m, Cerulean Blue (BLU), 1 ball.
Big Twist Twinkle, worsted weight yarn, 97% acrylic/ 3% polyester, 380 yds /6 oz/ 347 m, Teal (TEAL), 1 ball.
G (4.00 mm) Furls Odyssey hook
Two 18mm colored round-pupil safety eyes
Polyfil stuffing
Tapestry needle
Straight pins
Stitch markers

Measurements
11” tall x 16” long
