Pupil
With Black, chain 2.
Round 1: sc 6 in second chain from hook.  (6 stitches)
Round 2: 2sc in each sc around.  (12 stitches)
Round 3: [sc 1, 2sc in next stitch] 6 times. (18 stitches)
Round 4: [sc 2, 2sc in next stitch] 6 times. (24 stitches)
Tail
With bright green (Glowworm), chain 27.
hdc in third chain from hook. [2 hdc in next stitch, hdc] 12 times. (37 stitches)
Bind off leaving long tail for sewing.
Tail should have a soft twist to it. To make a more twisty tail, do 3 hdc in place of each 2 hdc.
Using yarn needle, attach Iris to body using a whip stitch, aligning the center of each circle with the other. I attached the iris the side of the body with the decreases (the “bottom”) so that the back looked more finished.
Attach the pupil on top of the iris, aligning the center of each circle. It is easiest get keep it straight by sewing around it, leaving two rows of blue showing on the outside of the black.

With white scrap yarn, stitch on the white glisten in the eyes. Large glisten spans five stitches, one row from the edge of the pupil. I did two long stitches, of three and two stitches, respectively. Then repeat three times, so it overlaps to make the glisten thicker.

The little glisten spans two stitches, one row from the edge of pupil, directly opposite the large glisten. Repeat this once.

Attach tail to the center of the back of the eye. Weave in ends.
